Delicious and healthy pregnancy snack recipes


Are you expecting? Yes! Then you must have experienced people giving their suggestions as to what to eat or what not to eat. You might have crazy food cravings, but deciding on the meal during pregnancy is not an easy task as you have to consume tasty as well as nutritious food for your bundle of joy. Some delicious and healthy recipes for pregnant women are mentioned here:

Peanut butter and chocolate chip energy bars :


1 cup of roasted peanuts, ½ cup peanut butter, ½ tbsp vegetable oil, 1 tbsp vanilla essence, ½ cup of sunflower seeds, ½ cup of chocolate chips, 1 cup of oats, 20 dates, salt (as per taste)


Add roasted peanuts, peanut butter, sunflower seeds, oats, and dates in a blender and mix. Take a bowl, add vanilla essence, and salt and add them to the peanut mixture and blend again to make a common paste. Sprinkle the chocolate chips. Grease a baking pan and transfer the mixture to the baking pan and spread it uniformly. Bake for 35 minutes at 200 degrees. Wait for the panto cool down before cutting the snack into energy bars.

Paneer and tomato pasta :


500 gm paneer pieces, 100 gm snow peas, 350 gm dried pasta, 1 Tbsp olive oil, pepper powder, 1 Tbsp tomato pasta sauce, salt.


Cook the pasta as directed on the packet and add some snow peas to the pasta while cooking. Grease the paneer with oil, and flavor with pepper and salt. Cook the paneer pieces in a large frying pan until it gets slightly brownish. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Take another pan, and cook the pasta sauce for sometime. Then add the cooked pasta, and the cooked paneer to the pasta sauce. Mix well and serve hot.

Banana walnut pancakes :


1/2 cup of finely chopped walnuts, ¼ cup of banana puree, 2 Tbsp of wheat bran, 1 cup of whole-wheat flour, 4 Tbsp of castor sugar, 1/2 Tbsp of vanilla essence, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 Tbsp of baking powder, 4 Tbsp of butter


Put all the ingredients in a bowl and add ½ cup of water and mix properly. Take a frying pan and melt some butter over a medium flame. Add a measure of batter and spread evenly to make a pancake. Toss and cook until golden brown.

Serve the pancakes with banana slices and honey.

Sprout cutlets :


2 medium-sized boiled potatoes, 100 grams sprouts, coarsely chopped 8-10 cashews, ½ cup of fresh chopped coriander, 1 Tbsp of corn flour, 100 grams of bread crumbs, cooking oil, and salt to taste.


Put the boiled potatoes in a bowl and mash them. Then add some coriander leaves, corn flour, sprouts, cashew and salt in the bowl and mix properly. Make small cutlets from the mix and coat them with bread crumbs. Grease the coated cutlets and shallow fry until they turn golden brown.
